Mai
Thai’s head chef Kachen Geropu has the
best possible pedigree for creating the Thai food served in
our restaurant. Born and bred in Bangkok, Kachen worked in the
kitchens of the 5 star Oriental Hotel before rising
to executive chef at the Thai capital’s renowned Swiss
Hotel. A move to Hong Kong saw him develop his excellent
English while working at the British Marine Club.
Kachen
then worked aboard a number of luxury cruise ships, finally
landing in Dubai’s world-famous Jeber Ali Hotel and
Resort. Now based in the UK, Mai Thai is delighted to be
able to give its customers the benefits of Geropu’s skills
and experience. As befits such a talented man, Geropu’s
skills do not stop in the kitchen – he is also a professional
ice sculptor!
